Deeper Christian Life Ministry completes construction of bridge, car park; Governor Ambode commissions projects

Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, has commended the general superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Folorunso Kumuyi and members of the church for their contributions towards developing the lives of people in the state.
Governor Ambode, who spoke on Tuesday, February 27, at the commissioning of multiple projects executed by the church in the Gbagada area of Lagos, praised it for mobilizing millions of its members across the world towards making life more meaningful for members of the community that live near its headquarters in the state, Vanguard reports.
The executed projects commissioned by the governor included a link bridge on Oduwaiye Street in Gbagada, traffic lights on many streets and a 600 capacity multilevel car park all of which were built from the contributions of members of the church throughout Nigeria.
Olawale Olowu, the state commissioner for energy and mineral resources, said on behalf of the governor that the church has shown its desire for spiritual and physical wellbeing of not only its members but also of other people irrespective of their religious backgrounds.
He said the projects were in line with the state government’s drive towards the rebuilding and renewal of Lagos. He used the opportunity to call on other religious organizations and private sector institutions to follow the gesture as a means of infrastructural revival in all parts of the state.
The Governor said: “What Deeper Life Church has done is epochal and keys into the overall drive of the State Government under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode towards the renewal of infrastructure projects all over Lagos in line with the mega city ambition of the State.
"It is my considered view that if all other religious groups and private sector organizations in the state, provide similar support to the Government, a lot will be achieved and in a very short time in improving the quality of infrastructure in our Lagos.”
